Analyze physical systems


PMS covers model assignments and simulations with Matlab-Simulink--SIMMECHANICS tools.
Topics in term 1:
• General software introduction in Matlab, Simulink and SIMMECHANICS
• Analysis of basic cases (exercises at HAN, home taken, by each student separately) based on the domains treated in AP and IM (i.e. mechanical, electrical and thermodynamic/fluiddynamic) 
Topics in term 2:
• SI: Data use
• SI: Parameter estimation
• SI: Sensitivity analysis
• SI: Validation

The student is able to perform computer simulations of a model and is able to validate a model in various domains (i.e. mechanical, electrical and thermodynamic/fluiddynamic). The validation is done by generating and/or collecting relevant datasets or design a validation experiment. For simulation and validation appropriate modelling software is used. (e.g. Matlab, Simulink, SIMMECHANICS) (M SM PMS HTE)
